Beginning her career in 1990, Mary Kate specialized in design for new technologies at a time when there were few women in the industry. She was quickly given the nickname Shegeek and, in the 20 years since, has designed and art-directed for clients such as Time Warner, Ericsson and Sun MicroSystems. Mary Kate has had the opportunity to work on many projects at the forefront of innovation, including one of the first photosharing communities and one of the first worldwide corporate social-intranet portals. She can be found most weekends of the season bouldering in Yosemite with her 8-year-old son, Dylan Thomas.

The daughter of a US Diplomat, Brett was raised in a variety of countries in Asia and Africa. As a result, she often found herself unable to verbally communicate with others. These experiences embedded within her a deep interest in the art of visual communication, which she further explored as she obtained her BFA in Graphic Design at The Rhode Island School of Design. Brett has worked with Shegeek for over six years.
